 More government interference...
Not content to leave well enough alone, and seeing an opportunity to grab some new tax dollars from the little guy, some states are contemplating the possibility of legislating eBay auctions.
You heard me correctly... Some states want you to pay for the priviledge to sell your junk on eBay. Tennessee already has a law requiring eBay sellers to obtain a so-called "gallery license". Other states are thinking of requiring you to pay for expensive classes that "certify" you as an "Auctioneer". Obviously, it is importantly to be able "fast-talk" when you're selling that old laptop on eBay.
What's next? Temporary Business Licenses for people who want to have a Yard Sale?
